    The first file is original.
I just erased the password line manually.
    The rest is the same....

    Hello friends.
I did the tests with these BIOS images, but it didn't work, the startup time is the same and ended up disabling some motherboard peripherals.
So I decided to leave the original configuration.
    Thank you for your help....

The loading time is the same.
It is stuck in the BIOS loading for 30 seconds and after you start to load the system.
Only a few times did it start quickly with the previous bios, but these were rare cases....

I downloaded this bios from the HP website, but it is smaller than normal.
I believe it is only for updating.
How do I add information about my notebook to make it work?

I identified that the bios chip I was using for testing was defective.
So I saved the new BIOS settings on the original chip.
I tested it with the two versions that you modified and with an older one that I had saved.
The notebook turned on, but the charging time is the same....

I did the test, but it doesn't start.
The LED on the numlock and capslock keys flashes 5 times
Attached is the updated bios that was working.

I tried to use the "Intel Easy Clean Me" program, but it doesn't recognize my notebook's bios.

Slow Start HP 640 G2 Probook - Bios

    I understood.
This is the original Bios file that was unlocked with the tool posted here on the forum.
Could someone clean it for me?
    Thank you.

  • Slow Star HP 640 G2 Probook

    Hello friends.
My notebook is stuck 30 seconds at startup, where the HP logo appears and only after that time, it starts to load Windows.
I have already enabled safe mode and quick boot mode, but the loading time is always the same.
I have already tested other bios settings, but the time is always the same.
I have also updated the bios but nothing has changed.

Follow the link to a video I recorded, showing the time it takes to start loading the system.

  • Re: HP probook 640 g2 - does it self destruct with bios chip removal?

    Hello Friends.
The same problem happened to me this week.
I bought an HP 640 G2 with a startup password.
I removed the BIOS chip and read it as CH431A Programmer version 1.29.
I unlocked the password and saved the BIOS again.
When trying to turn on the notebook, the yellow power light only flashed.
Luckily I had saved the BIOS memory using CH431A Programmer version 1.32.
I unlocked the password again and saved the BIOS.
The notebook turned on and restarted...

    Dear friends.
With your help I managed to solve the problem.
When testing one of the versions sent by you, the notebook showed beeps and signals on the screen.
I identified that the 3 beeps followed by 2 bytes refer to a memory problem.
So I cleared the memory (one less problem).
after that, i cleaned the monitor connector (one more problem solved).
Then, after realizing that there was a signal on the screen, I placed the unlocked bin file that was generated by the programmer Ch341A version 1.32.
    ...

    Does not work.
Turns on the notebook, but the monitor does not turn on, the fan runs at full speed, the NumLock and CapsLock lights flash.
It also emits 3 beeps followed by another 2 beeps.

I left the notebook on for several minutes but nothing changes.

    Did not work.
Please, clean this file that I saved in version 1.32 of the eprom reader.
This version 1.32 turns on the notebook, but the monitor does not turn on, and the fan runs at full speed.
    Thank you.

    I'm not using a clip.
I removed the chip from the notebook and soldered it to the eprom reader.
I read the eprom and then saved the file.
    after I unlocked it....

    Hello my friends.
I read the original BIOS and unlocked it with the friend's tool, RethoricalCheese.
But when testing the new unlocked BIOS, the notebook won't turn on.
Even if you reset the original BIOS with the password, the notebook will not turn on.
When placing another BIOS that I got here on this forum, the computer turns on, but emits 4 audible warnings and the monitor does not turn on.
    My knowledge is limited.
    Please, could someone help me.
    Thanks....
