Can't quite read what's written on it....looks like a serial number. There is some writing that is slightly obscured. inbond with possibly some missing letters in front of in bond.
Can't get all the numbers / letters. Something like
128FVPQ 1521

Ah that would make more sense...it has an arrow, which I assume is number 1 pin. The ref is CN365 or potentially u365. Depending on what label I'm looking at....Leave a comment:

What is the best way to do this? Can I take a BIOS from HP support or do I need to run a software program on this laptop to take the exact version etc?

HI All,
Recently bought a laptop (as above) can log in as administrator but can't open up BIOS as password protected. The seller doesn't know the password and HP support seem to think the answer is a new board (its not).
Pretty frustrating that HP believe they don't need to support customers and have added features that they wont support when they go wrong...Anyhow.
If anyone could advise what I need to do? I've read I need a BIOS dump? but not sure how to do that? I have downloaded one from Lab...Leave a comment:

Hi all, also starting to try and complete some long overdue projects.
Currently trying to get access to BIOS on my 745 G3. Does my nut that HP won't support this.
