Hello everyone,
I have an HP Pro Desk 800 G3 SFF and would like to undervolt it to save power. Is this possible with the original HP bios? I have not found any options in the BIOS and wonder if there is a hidden menu. I have already tried the key combinations that are available on the Internet, but they did not produce any further settings for undervolting.
Many thanks
BADJACK

Re: HP Probook 650 G2 won't turn on after bios chip replacement
It's done.
As written, I played a stick with NbDmiFit-2.13 from the forum here and booted from the stick via UEFI.
The only thing I had to do in advance was an update of the TPM.
After the update, I was finally able to take the appropriate steps.
I want to thank everyone for the help. Thanks alot

Re: HP Probook 650 G2 won't turn on after bios chip replacement
Here I have two dumps that are identical according to HexEditor. I have now soldered cables directly to the Eprom. Unfortunately I do not have an original backup. I had a biosfile from the Internet with which the laptop went back on at least. I will now flash the lapfix file again and fill it with the data...

Re: HP Probook 650 G2 won't turn on after bios chip replacement
What do I have to enter for Feature Byte and Build ID? I have entered all other values, only with the two I am not sure what needs to be put in here. Or can I enter any values here?
For the file the notebook starts up and is in programming mode.

Re: HP Probook 650 G2 won't turn on after bios chip replacement
What I mean by that. When I flash this biosfile, the laptop starts up again. I also had other bios files with which the laptop did not start up. With the "bad" dumps, only the fans turned up after a while.
I once attached a dump of a completely identical device. Is from the same batch...

Re: HP Probook 650 G2 won't turn on after bios chip replacement
I have already tried the HP BiosConfigTool. That unfortunately did not work. Since the device is probably still in MPM "lock mode". I have already renamed the FSMC.bin to SMC.bin but then I get an error message when booting. I have now attached the pictures of the individual error messages.
Image 1 = current error message with the biosfile from the Internet
Image 2 = error message from wndmifit64
Image 3 - 5 = model and board names of the laptop
I will also attach...Last edited by BADJACK80; 04-09-2020, 08:46 AM.

Re: HP Probook 650 G2 won't turn on after bios chip replacement
I have a similar problem. I have an HP ProBook 650 G2. Unfortunately I don't have a dump from this notebook. I have uploaded a biosfile from the Internet with the ch341a. The notebook now starts up again but I cannot change the SKU, SN ...... because it is in MPM "Lock" mode. I've tried several things but nothing has worked so far. I would have all the data like SKU, BoardID and model. Maybe you can feed the existing bios with the appropriate data and I will then flash the customized biosfile.
