I have an old Toshiba, which was dead for several times. Long story short, the laptop didn't turn on, I have replaced BIOS bought from eBay and it was working fine until it started not to switch off. It was in a kind of black screen mode and only restart button helped. I have changed back to the original bios chip but flashed with FW bought from eBay chip, and it worked fine for some time until it went flat on the battery and now only the power-on LED lights up for a few seconds and it's not starting.

I suspect my BIOS, Could anyone share with me a working BIOS?

Cha, this one is working, thanks a lot. It's making noise, runs HDD and so on, apparently my screen is dead. No any light comes up , if I light it up with source of light, nothing comes up also, just a black screen.

Probably best thing would be to scrap it.

Guys, I have an old laptop with i assume dead bios, it has no service tag, for this reason, I don't know what dumps to use, I have downloaded maybe 7 different dumps from dell.com, neither one revived it. When I flash it it turns on ,but the screen doesn't light up and cooling fan not spinning and it dies in 1.5s.
Any ideas how can I trace back what dumps to use ?

Anyone, where can I find Bios eeprom on this board?

Hi , does anybody know, where can I locate Bios eeprom ? And maybe someone has dump of bios ? my old laptop doesn't turn on any more, I would like to try to reflash the bios.
