It could be but I don't know what else to check. I checked all the sources and they seem to be fine, I disconnected all the components from the motherboard, I tried with another RAM, the processor cannot be replaced with the tools I have. I will probably abandon it. Too bad I've only had it for a month...

I tried the BIOS modified by you this evening and it doesn't work. However, there are other symptoms: after about 30s, the fan starts and works at maximum speed.
I also tried to extract the flash from the BIOS file on the official website (it's different from the one modified by you) and it still doesn't work. More precisely, I extracted the .exe file with 7zip, and then, using HxD, I searched in the isflash.fd file for the beginning of my file. It's my laptop. It was powered off properly and did not start again. All sources on the motherboard are fine, but the computer does not start. The power LED is on all the time. I can power off and on again de motherboard from power button. I suppose it's a bios fault. I tried the bios posted here and none of them work.
I am attaching my backup.

The bios you sent me is good. Only I got to other issues now. Video card is defective. Stripes, dots, etc. can be seen on the screen. I'm abandoning the repair because I don't have the right tools for reballing. Only with hot air station ...

The laptop is the one in the title of the topic: Toshiba Satellite L870-196 Part NO PSKFNE-05S00JCE, with the motherboard tmt YA-4A 1 94V-0 E114139.
I only have backup for W25Q32BVSIG because the other backup was lost from a faulty stick. He is attached. The backup was done without removing the chip from the motherboard and I don't trust it. My mistake ...

Hello! I know the post is very old but I need a dump of both bios chips: W25Q32 and W25Q16. You just put dump of 25Q16 I think but I need the other one too.
I tried to write the .FD files from the bios update downloaded from the official site but something is wrong. The LEDs blink and that's it. I think that the .FD files are not extracted correctly.

Regarding the same problem, for a Samsung laptop, I needed to change a capacitor behind the microprocessor. If I remember correctly, the latop would only start if I removed the charger and it would only work on battery....Leave a comment:
