Thanks for the feedback - I'm going to open the set up tonight and begin inspecting things. Probably start with primary power supply. If it's bad, who knows what kind of error code would appear.

So I learned how to get error codes - came back an error code 48 which evidently indicates a problem with the PWB Main board. Now the question is whether or not the PWB Main board is one that has bad capacitors, or I just need to buy a whole new board. Any ideas?Leave a comment:

Starting from scratch with Mitsubishi DLP problem
I have a Mitsu WD65734 DLP TV that is giving me a steady red status light on front panel. Everything I can find online points to either a cap problem on PS board or a lamp issue. Can anyone enlighten me as to which is more likely?
