Re: LG 60PV250-TB roadside find: diagnosis help please?
I also had a look at the coils on the Y sus board, as matching symptoms it would seem to be perhaps a Y sus and main board issue. The solder doesn't appear to be that bad, maybe a few tiny microscopic cracks, but nothing like what I've seen in others photos, so I don't know whether it would be worth putting it in the oven to reflow as well? Is that a viable option?
VSC overloaded multimeter at max setting of 600V, same with VY.
VS TP = 198.5V
VA TP = 53.5V
Both fluctuating a little.

LG 60PV250-TB roadside find: diagnosis help please?
G'day fellas,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to youse all. Found an LG plasma beside the road the other day. Was sitting in a bit of a drizzle, but didn't seem too wet. Managed to get it home and plugged it in, and it worked. The screen turns off after about 5 minutes however, with the sound continuing. Unplug, replug, works the same and then turns off again, each time lasting longer than the last, so I assume a heat issue? One night the thing worked for over 2 hours straight.
There is flickering of the lighter colours on the screen, the whites are really noticeable....

Re: LG 60PV250 sound OK, no picture.
G'day fellas, I recently found a LG 60PV250-TB on the side of the road, had sat through a little bit of drizzle. Took it home and plugged it in, works and everything, but turns off after 5/10 mins, sound stays on. Occasionally there is a little bit of a sparkly thingy going on, very minor. When the image is on the lighter areas flicker, anything white is pretty noticeable. Would the above quoted cracked solder cause flickering?
I have checked Va and Vs voltages, adjusted Va a little, both seem to drop about 2-5...
