Re: Lost chip resistor, need help with value
The recap went fine...the 10ohm resistor I hacked in was one of my uglier pieces of rework, but it's getting the job done. The monitor is back in service, and now working perfectly.
BTW, I checked the trash, and the majority of the original caps on the power supply (including all of the bulging ones) were CapXon GF series. A couple (the 47uf and the 4.7uf) were TL CD81 series.
Thanks for all your help!

Re: Lost chip resistor, need help with value
Here is the logic board. Hopefully this pic is better than my first attempt....

Re: Lost chip resistor, need help with value
You've got good eyes. Yes, those are the correct values.
Other than the Taicon, all the capacitors I have in there now are Panasonic FM series. If you need to know the manufacturer & series of the originals, let me know -- I probably haven't emptied that trash can yet....

Re: Lost chip resistor, need help with value
Here's the power supply...assuming it uploads OK. Might not get the logic board posted until tomorrow...getting to be beddy-bye time. Not sure what you mean by "series".

Re: Lost chip resistor, need help with value
10 ohms...cool -- that'll be easy :-)
Value-wise, my board had:
2 - 10V 1000uF
2 - 25V 470uF
2 - 25V 220uF
2 - 25V 100uF
1 - 10V 100uF
1 - 50V 47uF
1 - 50V 4.7uF
A lot of the CapXon-branded capacitors were bulging, but just to be on the safe side I changed out all of the little electrolytics, CapXon or no.
There was also a big ol' 100uF 400V filter cap over near where the line voltage came in...that guy looked OK, so I didn't mess with it.

Lost chip resistor, need help with value
Hey, all! Noob here, with a weird request...
I was recapping a TDK XAD819AR power supply out of a Hanns-G HC194D LCD monitor when I managed to knock loose and lose a little chip resistor in the middle of the back of the board -- looks like resistor R18. I figure I should be able to hack in a small 1/8W resistor in place of the chippy if I knew roughly what value it was, but I haven't been able to track down a service manual or schematic for that board, and haven't even been able to find an app note for the little SMD-8 SC6841SZ MOSFET driver that the chippy was next to.
