Re: Westinghouse L2410NM 24" LCD power goes on and off, blue light flickers
To any of the folks who replaced their bad caps, do you still experience the screen momentarily turning off?

Re: Westinghouse L2410NM 24" LCD power goes on and off, blue light flickers
Just to follow up.
I ended up replacing the entire power supply but found that the backlight would still not turn on. I plugged in an hdmi cable and had it play some music just to confirm that there wasn't damage to the main board.
Replaced the inverter board and the monitor powered up and is running as good as ever.
Thanks for everyone's help!

Re: Westinghouse L2410NM 24" LCD power goes on and off, blue light flickers
Finally bought a new power supply unit for the monitor. Swapped it out and now the white LED power indicator turns on when I press the power button. No more clicking, however, the screen does not turn on.
There are no visibly bad caps on the inverter board, and no visible damage to the main processing board. Any ideas where to proceed?...

With cable to inverter disconnected, clicking is still present at about 4-5 clicks /second.
With cable to signal board and inverter disconnected, clicking is present at about 2 clicks / second.
first pic is before and after, the last two pics are after.
I took it to a shop since my soldering skills aren't very great. I'm not 100% sure what they replaced, but I pointed out the differences as best I could. They couldn't get it working and didn't charge...

1-to-3 12v cigarette adapter
I think a fuse may have been blown when someone connected a high powered device to the adapter.
Specs:
Input: 12/24v
Output curr.: Max.DC5A (except USB)
USB output curr.: dc5v-max 5.4v/500mah
Total output: 60W (except USB)
I've taken it apart and included some photos of the circuit board.
Looking for advice on identifying the bad component.
Thank you....Last edited by Boregy; 05-26-2011, 03:57 PM.

Re: Westinghouse L2410NM 24" LCD power goes on and off, blue light flickers
yes, but kosh doesn't say that he ordered those specific capacitors.
Also, the FM Panasonic 2200uf 10v is backordered, would the FR Panasoncic (P14382-ND) be an acceptable replacement?...Last edited by Boregy; 05-10-2011, 12:34 PM.

I need to buy a soldering iron (never soldered before).
Can someone recommend which I should choose between these 2:
30W

40W

or any other recommendation.

Re: Westinghouse L2410NM 24" LCD power goes on and off, blue light flickers
Thanks for the links.
One more question, are the cap specs always printed on the caps? I'm looking at them but I don't seem to see them in any of my pics, how do I figure out their specs?
Edit:
I notice both me and Renesis13 have the same 2 caps bad in the same locations...coincidence?

Thanks for the input!
did you mean the two little brown caps near the one big brown cap?
image 73 is of one of the smaller browns, image 74 is of one of the medium browns under the heatsink....Last edited by Boregy; 01-04-2011, 12:56 AM.
