Re: Samsung UN65EH6000 - Vertical Lines sometimes, other visual artifacts
I haven't had a chance to check the cable for chips yet but I noticed there's an inductor on the Tcon board that got hot. I don't know if that's a symptom or a cause of the issue.
If it's anything that you mentioned, is there any way to fix it or am I SOL?...

Re: Samsung UN65EH6000 - Vertical Lines sometimes, other visual artifacts
I have some videos of the problem.
SEIZURE WARNING - FLASHING COLORS AND LIGHTS:

In this video, I ran a "pixel unsticking" video on YouTube that cycles RGB very quickly. As you can see, the left side behaves normally. The middle is darkened. The right side is kind of blended, kind of white. I zoom in on each corner so you can see the behavior better.

Samsung UN65EH6000 - Vertical Lines sometimes, other visual artifacts
Background:
I found this TV by the side of the road saying it needed a new backlight. Thanks to the help of this forum, I was able to repair the backlights and the power board.
When I put the TV together, I noticed visual artifacts on the right side and a darkening of the center area, mostly on the right. Specifically, on the far right, the screen is very slow to refresh and has a smearing effect. I've taken video and will link that below. The photos show some of the afterimages that persist for a few seconds to a few minutes, again, on the right side mostly.

Re: Samsung UN65EH6000F - Half LED Strip Working
I spoke too soon!
The backlight is fine but now there is another problem. When I turned it on this morning I saw this screen with colored bars again.
This happened the other day but I reseated the two ribbon cables to the Tcon board and then it worked.
When it was working, I also noticed some ghosting (afterimage of a news logo remaining on screen after I changed stations) on the right side, and if the scene changed rapidly, it would look like it smeared.

Re: Samsung UN65EH6000F - Half LED Strip Working
Very nice! I think you've found the problem.
L2 bank is 1.2 ohms.
L1 bank is open circuit.
Upon closer inspection, all four L1 resistors are fried.
I'm including photos of both sets of resistors.
The resistors for L2 are the following:
- 1 each: 4R3
- 3 each: 3R90...

Samsung UN65EH6000F - Half LED Strip Working
To summarize, I found this TV by the side of the road with a sign saying it needs a backlight.
I opened it up and saw four diodes had burned, and a bunch more scattered around tested as bad.
This TV has six rows, each consisting of two strips that link together.
I replaced all the LED strips.
Now only one half (the lower half) light up. The upper half do not.
I tested voltage output from the board. Sure enough, the lower half shows 300 V DC when the LEDs are disconnected, and the upper half output shows nothing.
