Re: YESICO 500 Problem

Well I'm off work sick at the moment so after browsing round this site for a while I thought WTF and opened up the Yesico. Most of the capacitors are bulging, none are split or leaking (though one is suspect I can't get a close enough look at it). I'd post some pics but my camera won't focus close enbough. So I guess this is the problem with it on my mobo ? (I also checked my mobo, caps are all fine).

The caps in the Yesico are all Fuhjyyu so best thing is to try and get this recapped as I doubt I'll get the warranty on it now that I have opened...

I have a YESICO 550 which had been running in my PC 24/7 flawlessly for about 10 months. However I returned home one evening to find my pc off and it wouldn't turn back on. I connected an old power supply and it powered up fine.

Yesico Symptoms
Powering on I get a split second of power and it shuts down. I cannot reproduce this split second of power untill I pull the power lead out of the pc. When I do this I can suddenly hear a faint whine for about a second or 2, like something shutting down.

I sent the PSU back to Scan Computers in the UK where...
