AL1711 used the same external power adapter as AL1714? I will open up the unit later today. Wish me luck!...

1. - Power led constantly on, display works after i turn on/off the power switch (not the power button on unit but the wall on/off switch).

MY acer AL1714 need to switch on/off several times before it shows acer logo and starting good. When cold start, it just flicks and black screen.
Any idea?
(i will post pictures later, searching for a 2nd display before opening up the unit!!) -

Upon searching for guide/howto/manual on fixing my acer al1714 and chimei lcd, i stumbled upon this SUPERB site... omg... what a wonderful source of knowledge hidden here!!
