Thanks everyone. I got it working again. Only had to replace one of the diode mention in Hamie post and it working like normal. Thanks for posting this info, it help me save several hundred dollars from buying a new one.

I just tested them again after seeing the video.
This is after they are taking out from the board. One of the said 0.232V, and the other is 0.000V. So maybe just one is bad?
Do you know where I can get them locally in Philadelphia Area? or I have to order these online?Leave a comment:

thanks for pointing that out, this is my first attempt at trying to fix a tv.
I found the D10, and tested it with the multimeter, it's showing 0.8ohms even when I reverse the meter negative and positive lead.
and for the D11, it's showing 0.9ohms on both sides of the lead.
the 2 diode on top, D8 and D9 were showing very high resistance value, in Kohm and Mohms, the 2 diode in the bottom, D13 and14 were showing high number as well.

I found a high resolution picture on another post, and saw where the D10 and D11 capacitor is located. However I'm not sure what size they are, and where to get them. Could someone send me a link please?Leave a comment:

Hi,
I've just found this thread, I have the same problem with this tv. It's a 55 inch Element. Model ELEFS552., it just die, and there is no power, or standby light. I can't seem to find the D10 and D11 capacitor, the writing is very small. could you show me where it is on the board? Do you know what size is it so I find the new part for it?
Sorry, I'm new at this, this is my first attempt to repair the tv.
