i unsoldered PL8200 but i cant find a jumper. Desoldered pc8210 because it said that the jumper is below but there is no jumper. and there is still a short on the others.
pc8226 is empty on my board because it is not the exact model as the schematic but it is shorted i get 0 on both sides.
PC8203 PC8201 are not shorted and yes i did put back pu8200 because the short didnt go away with it removed.
so i opened the jumper PJP8200 and checked the 3 caps PC8205 PC8206 PC8207 and they are not shorted but im still getting a 0.00 on both sides pc8217. i removed it and checked and it works
soo i found the area of the short. checked the components 1 by one and the ones in red are shorted to ground i checked the others connected to the PU8200 and they are fine. also i removed the pu8200 to check if the short would dissapear and it didnt. Any help would be appreciated.
EDIT: not sure why the image won't load so ill add an imgur link. https://imgur.com/a/tcGWh8xRe: asus x555ld no power<br />
<br ...ked the others
hello everyone i have a question. When i connect the adapter to the motherboard the voltage goes 1v-1.5v-0.5v and flickers like that. what could this be caused by. Im a beginner and searched a lot on the forum but didnt find anything to help me
ok sorry for the LONG delay i bought a soldering station with a hot air gun from china and was waiting for it to arrive i did what RethoricalCheese suggested and found that PC8207 was heating up. I removed it and tried booting again BUT again the UP1589Q is getting hot and the laptop is not working....
