Well the spade connectors are covered with heat shrink tape, so should I cut that off?...

Re: CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD - bad caps + ??
Thanks RJ, I'll see if I can find the release. Ran into those on a microwave a couple years ago, was suspecting these might be similar.

Re: CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD - bad caps + ??
Here are a couple other pics.
I tried to remove the push-on connectors for the heavy wires from the transformer and the back cover, but they are fighting me. Any special trick to getting those off? I tried using a pliers on one, and was worried that if I pulled too hard I would damage the board or the wire/connector....

CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD - bad caps + ??
CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD displayed fault code F03, indicating a failure of the charging circuit. Batteries were run down to 8.5 volts, they are known good used batteries that work fine in another UPS. The batteries charged back up to ~12.8 volts just fine outside the UPS, using my car battery charger.
I opened up the case to get a look at the board, and found at one cap clearly blown out. Looks like the glue at the base of the cap aged and become conductive? There's more of the same glue in other spots. I plan to clean all that off, and then replace all the electrolytic caps.

Re: How open case? CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD
Here are some pictures.
One is the entire half of the case with the board and transformer, rear cover.
Next are a couple closer pix of the hidden latches, showing the male and female parts....

Re: How open case? CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD
Success! Carefully examining the bottom seam, I noticed three areas where the color of the black plastic changed ever so slightly. They had a length about the same as the one visible catch, so I tried with a putty knife to put pressure on them so they would open in the same manner as the visible catch. Once I had two out of three release, the case wanted to open up like a clamshell and then the third came free.

Re: How open case? CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD
I'm going to keep researching, try to find a non-destructive way to open up the case. I may try a putty knife to pry at the places at the seam where I think the catches are hidden.
I am really hoping that someone has BTDT and can tell me how to proceed.

Good idea, only one sticker. No screw.

How open case? CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD
Greetings,
I'm looking for tips or tricks to open up the case of this UPS. It's a CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD. I've got the front and back and top covers off, batteries out, and the seam along the top of the case has all the catches released.
On the bottom seam, only one catch is visible, it looks like there are at least two more that are hidden. I'd like to open this case up to check for bad caps on the circuit board (fault code F03 - charging circuit not working).
The real trick is that I want to be able to close the case again, without using non-factory...

Re: CyberPower 1350AVR - Repair
Hi guys, I've got a CyberPower 1350VA UPS, model CP1350PFCLCD. I've got error code F03 (not charging the batteries) so I am trying to get this case open in order to see what's going on and try replacing the capacitors if I don't find any other damage.
How does this case open up?
Front and back panels are off, top panel is off, and so I think there are just the two halves of the main case that I need to separate. The top seam catches are all exposed and easy to get apart, but on the bottom seam, only one catch is visible...
