Yes, I've tried them using Win-key + b when booting, but the caps-lock light is flashing, the screen is black, and nthe fan eventuallyvstarts going really fast, but nothing happens. I uploaded my backed up bios in the previous post (but not sure if it is the right way of doing it with the tool, or if I have to use a chip reader)...

I tried exporting the BIOS with a "Universal BIOS Backup Tool". Not sure if this is the right way of doing it, but if it is:

Could someone please help me clean out the password from the file?

Hi guys

Sorry to bother, but I am a bit newbee to this. I have a password locked HP Zbook 15 G2 which I would like to unlock. A company actually had thrown this laptop, but it started right away after I mounted ram and a harddrive in it. They have too much money, I guess :-).

I have 3 questions:

1. How to dump the bios:
- do I have to buy a chip reader? Tried using FPTW but that did not work.

2. How to restore a cleaned bios:
- Is it by using WinKey + B, or do I have to program...
