Re: Legion 5-17IMH05H schematics/boardview request
Hello good people,
Could anyone tell me which PCH is on the NM-C912 board?
According to intel there are 3 that are compatible with i7-10750H:
Intel® WM490 Chipset
Intel® HM470 Chipset
Intel® QM480 Chipset
Thank you!

La-d713p uma
Hi,
I have a board LA-D713P with Radeon GPU. I suspect it has a faulty GPU therefore would like to convert it to UMA. Has anyone tried to do it?

Re: lenovo 320-15iap
Hi,
Could you guys help me out with this bios that I have, because I am lost...
SITUATION:
I have a damaged BIOS. Flashed one provided in this thread and it works until
an Intel video driver get's installed. After it is installed whenever notebook goes to sleep (turns off LCD to save power) it would not turn it back again. Before installing the driver it works as expected. So I think this should be software related and the bios I flashed could be not 100% compatible
Therefore I am trying to fix my old bios....

Re: HP Probook 640 G2 dead
Just get a 3.3v chip and try connecting to it.
NOTE:
* chip must be positioned the way like it is MARKED ON THE ch341
* check jumper position on ch341
* have you installed drivers for ch341?
* connect it to USB 2.0...Last edited by sakalaz; 03-18-2021, 12:33 AM.

Re: HP Probook 640 G2 dead
IMHO there is no need for this.. I have been using ch341 (black edition without modification) a lot and did not have any problems.
If it fried chips people wouldn't buy these devices would they?...

Re: HP Probook 640 G2 dead
Well if I do that than my drain side of the mosfet would definitely be also shorted to ground wouldn't it?...

Re: HP Probook 640 G2 dead
Not all the 341 software will work (my experience). Even if it manages to read the chip with some software it will fail to flash it. You could get a verification error message.
Try using this programmer software (select the Device 341 in the menu before reading) https://github.com/nofeletru/UsbAsp-flash/releases/download/v1.4.1/AsProgrammer_1.4.1.zip
Or an older version of original software 1.18? (can't remember what worked)

Re: HP Probook 640 G2 dead
Hello good people,
Maybe you had a similar case... I have this mosfet at position Q66610 with a source shorted to ground. I have injected 1v and went even up to 5amps but did not notice any region of the board that is getting warm. Checked with a thermal camera.
Any clues how to pin point the short?...

Re: HP Probook 640 G2 dead
If you have all the voltages, than try flashing the BIOS, but be carefull I think it's a 1.8v chip. Feeding it with 3.3 might fry it.
Next in line of suspects would be your EC chip. One way of testing it would be tracing down which pin is the power button input (PWR_SW# or similar) and another pin a signal to CPU (PM_PWRBTN# or similar)
Normal state of these pins is 3.3v and when you press the power button they must go to 0v
If this not the case you have missing some voltages / signals to EC / or EC is de...Last edited by sakalaz; 03-16-2021, 02:45 PM.

Re: Asus x555ld rev:3.6 bİos
Hi!
Does anyone have a working bios with empty ME region for X555LB (board X555LD REV. 3.6) ?
CPU: i3-5010U
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 940M
Not really sure from what notebook model it came from.. (it's such a mess with these boards..). I bought this board for parts but after I did some measurements it appears more alive than dead.
I see bios chip has been worked on so it could have a wrong bios version flashed on it.

Re: Asus x555ld rev 3.1
You sir are a god sent! All voltages came up and also had a fan spin!!! I worked on this board as a puzzel on my limited free time (2 small children running around) for almost half a year making small incremental progress by measuring something, looking up datasheets etc..
Wow.. the power of a fan spin! (close to having sex)
Hadn't checked the video output or other stuff. Don't want to kill the vibe if something else is wrong...

Re: Asus x555ld rev 3.1
Peste, could you make a dump original + X555LNAS?
I have attached the zip
Notebook model F555LN (motherboard X555LD rev3.1) I downloaded this bios from ASUS support.
My attempts of merging the firmware all failed because after flashing VSUS does not come on. Your dump (although not exactly right version) Orig+X555LDAS.rar works much better because I get all VSUS voltages and they are stable....

Re: Asus X555LD not getting 3VSUS_ON
Please remove this thread. It's me being an idiot....
The signal was not comming on because of some bios firmware related issue. I noticed by accident that for a few seconds 3.3v appear on bios 8-th leg. So... After flashing another bios the +5vsus and +3vsus are now present!

Re: Asus X555LD not getting 3VSUS_ON
Sorry, CORRECTION: resistance to ground on +3VSUS: ~4.2k OMH
But nontheless if on one side of the 100k resistor is 3.3v than on the other side it should be 2.5-3.0v something.. (if no short to ground)...

Re: Asus X555LD not getting 3VSUS_ON
History: board from a spill damaged notebook. Very light damage. Cleaned and re-flowed suspicious areas. Had to change the charging chip because there was no 3.3v and 5v. After the replacement initial power rails restored.
Resistance to ground on +3VSUS: ~155k OMH
Voltages on PCH_SLPSUS#: 0v, PM_SUSB#: 0v, PM_SUSC#: 0v...
