Thanks for the info. I do not have a svod programmer. I do have another one of these laptops for parts. I'm thinking of swapping the chips....

Just to verify I attached an image of the chip, novoton npce288ga0dx, I think is responsible for IO. I didn't see an ITE chip on the board. I assume that this one doesn't have a supervisor password set? I am having difficulty removing the SVP. Flashing this ROM didn't remove it and would like to verify. Is it known that it is stored somewhere else? There is no eeprom on these laptops right?...Leave a comment:
