I got this laptop from a lot. Even if it shows battery being charged, there is no response by pressing the power button. This is the BIOS that it has. Can I ask for "recovery" BIOS or a "clean" BIOS?
Thanks!

I'm back with a very similar board, only that in this case it's a i7 instead of a i5. The laptop shows a constar white LED (the one of charging, I assume) and even if it turns on, the screen remains black without any signal.
Attached is the original BIOS which is version 4.1 and supposedly the new one that I flashed was for downgrading to an earlier version (without the QR challenge code).
Serial number: 1J166599H

You made my day! Thanks!
I don't know if you (SMDFlea and peste) are the same person, but you are worth a donation. Is there a way for it?

I can't make another backup, as later I flashed a BIOS that was given to me supposedly to allow response code to challenge code (because my version was 4.1 and the challenge version is a long QR code with RSA-2048 signature). After that BIOS, the system doesn't boot up, only shows 2 amber, 2 white LEDs blinking.
I made three different backups prior to sending him, the one I attached here was the first backup. Which one do you need? The one that is loaded now is the one that I received from that guy (from vinafix). Do you want that one or one of my original backups?
I desoldered the...

Yes, I'm familiar with SPI programming (CH341A). Looking forward to your BIOS!...

Toshiba X30-D-19X bios
I also have the same problem after flashing a BIOS. The original BIOS backup seems to be corrupt. What can happen if I flash this BIOS in my computer?

Hello, were you able to get the response code for it? If so, could you tell me how and where? Thanks!...

Hello, I got a very long challenge code, together with a QR code. Any guess how to get it?

Re: Acer G257HL main board short circuit
Ok, after a week looking for it, I just found it when I posted!

Acer G257HL main board short circuit
This IPS LED monitor has the AC adapter apart, so it only receives 19 Vdc from the input jack. There is a short in the board already seen in the input jack. I've checked most capacitors, mosfets and diodes, and they seem to be fine.
I'm a bit lost. It's hard to follow the power lines and especially as I find continuity in so many parts. Evern removing mosfets, the short continues.
I used a thermal camera and the capacitor in the yellow circle was getting hot instantly. Removing it still kept the short, so the capacitor was just the victim, not the guilty.
There is a component...

Re: MSI A320M-A PRO broken component
Well, I finally measured the diode behavior of these components. Just one of these is working as a normal diode. They all have 0.256V in one direction, but the other direction varies from totally open to 0.8V and 1.2V.
Could these be the diodes marked in the attached figure?...
