Hi, I also have a Vizio VP50HDTV10A that I am trying to fix. I am new at this. The problem is that the remote control is not operating the TV. I have replaced the remote with a new vizio remote - did not solve the problem. I used a camera to verify that the remote is sending IR signal. I tried to program 2 other universal remotes to operate the tv, they did not work. So, I am fairly certain the problem is in the TV.
