Hmm I'm not confident removing it. I'm also not 100% certain it's the EEPROM, the unit powers on (red standby LED to blue) but no screen or sound for 3mins 15 secs, after that it's fine until it's power off or put in standby again.

Thanks for the info. Do you think the SOIC8 clamp that comes with most kits would work on this without removing the IC ?Leave a comment:

How do you get this on to the EEPROM? USB Firmware update says 'file not found' on the TV menu ..Leave a comment:
