Re: Macbook Pro A1708 820-00840-A WiFi issue
Is it possible that the wifi chip is somehow paired to the motherboard, like in iPhones?

Macbook Pro A1708 820-00840-A WiFi issue
Hey guys!
I have bought this A1708 820-00840-A Macbook which had some water damage as it can be seen in the attached picture. I found one shorted cap and a blown backlight driver. After starting it up I have noticed that bluetooth is working but wifi isn't working. I began troubleshooting the problem and here's what I found:
PP3V3_S4_WLAN is present
I have 3.4V on SMC_WIFI_PWR_EN
I have 3.3V on AP_RESET_L
Diode mode readings seem to be normal, no other shorted or open lines found.
I concluded that the fault must come from the wifi chip itself, either corrosion...
