Re: Insignia NS-LCD37 flashes please wait then turns off
The voltages are not dropping at all after turned on, but I am still at a loss for what the problem could be. Now that I have printed out the service manual I am going to start over and try to see if the insignia trouble shooting guides help at all.

Re: Insignia NS-LCD37 flashes please wait then turns off
It appear's to be functioning as it was before, with both the new main board and the old. Now that I look at the power board, it does seem that there are 2 x 1000uf caps which seem to be slightly bulging, but i am still getting all of the proper output voltages on the board. would I still get proper voltages if the caps were bad?

Re: Insignia NS-LCD37 flashes please wait then turns off
yes, I just tried to use the inputs from another main board to inject the signals into the insignia's tcon board and it did not work, although I forgot to check that the pin outs were the same because of excitement that i found a board which had the same LVDS connector. yes i had both systems plugged in at the same time(2 separate power plugs).

Re: Insignia NS-LCD37 flashes please wait then turns off
Well it seems that the new main board had a small whole in one of the caps so I should be able to return it based on that, but it does give me better functionality than my old main board. Enough functionality that i would be able to swap the LVDS cable for a different input... which i almost forgot to thank you for that service manual, I think I saw somewhere in the manual which had the LVDS outputs from the main board which if i have those I should be able to make a different board work.

Re: Insignia NS-LCD37 flashes please wait then turns off
Sorry for the delay, i have been working on my advanced digital circuits school work. With my old board i would unplug the 3 pin connector and plug in the TV and when i would plug it in it would instantly turn on the back light and then after a few seconds flash please wait, turn off and start over. With my new board 3 pin connector unplugged, I can plug the TV in and then press the power button to turn the TV on. The TV now keeps the back light on until I press the power button again to turn the TV of, but no longer flashes...

Re: Insignia NS-LCD37 flashes please wait then turns off
@triplefour, After i unplugged the 3 pin connector i would plug the TV in and the back light would come on and stay on until the please wait screen would pop on for a second and then the TV would turn off and start the process over again

If your inverter board is like my board you would want to look for http://www.ebay.com/itm/CPT-CLAA-370WA03S-4H-V1838-491-B1-4H-V1838-401-D-Inverter-Board-tested-/271353256153?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f2dea18d9 (4H.V1838.401/D)Re: Insignia NS-LCD37 flashes please wait then turns off

Re: Insignia NS-LCD37 flashes please wait then turns off
I was testing the TV and found that the smallest connector coming from the power supply to the main board looks like the signal to tell the power supply to turn on the inverter board.( its the 3 wire connector ) i unplugged this and then plugged in the TV and the inverter/back light seems to kick on so that led me to believe that the inverter board was fine

Re: Insignia NS-LCD37 flashes please wait then turns off
Installed new main board (6HA0136910 - 37HA37) and the TV will respond to the Power button, when plugged in the TV remains off until power button is pressed and will stay on until the power button is pressed again to turn off. But now it seems when i power up the TV, the green light will come on but the TV has no sound or video now and doesn't even flash the please wait screen any more. I am assuming now that it had to have been a cascade failure because now i am getting a proper PON voltage, but am at a loss for what could...

Insignia NS-LCD37 flashes please wait then turns off
This is my first post so I hope that I have posted it in the correct section. I posted on one of the other threads pertaining to a similar problem but the thread seemed dead. I have followed all of the fallowing threads but have come up empty handed.
