Re: LG 42 LK 450N won't start
Update to this. Replaced the components mentioned in this thread. TV now works fine. Thank you.

Re: LG 42 LK 450N won't start
Sorry this had BD9240F that is a 28 pin IC You have datasheet for that? How about the SMD diode connected to the gate, what would be a good substitute?.

You mean the IC BD9270F? You think by changing these I might be ok?

Re: LG 42 LK 450N won't start
Well actually, it ain't... DMM shows OL. How in the hell did I miss a fuse of that size is beyond me. Probably too much going on at the moment.
Q702 that's a Mosfet 5n50 is shorted. Should I expect the diode connected to the gate to be bad too?...

No, I don't know how I got a reading like that before. It's now 386VDC....

Re: LG 42 LK 450N won't start
Back to my case. by putting a jumper wire from the 3.5v rail to the pwr_on and inv_on the power supply goes on, all the voltages measured from the psu connector are stable and right on the spot, even the rails that are related to the inverter circuit... but still the backlights won't come on? should I suspect the inverter board or a ccfl tube here?

So so.. This LG is a no go? Any help appreciated.

Re: LG 42 LK 450N won't start
Some pictures attached. IF you need more or any specific let me know...
Standby is 3.5v and working fine. While the tv is on for the five seconds, 3.5V, 12V and the 20V that is for the inverter are all ok. The ones I mentioned in the first post go up and down....

Re: LG 42 LK 450N won't start
Anyone? Where to start, which board to suspect? A little 'tick' kind of sound can be heard I believe from the PSU each time the voltages drops and raises.

LG 42 LK 450N won't start
Hello
TV goes on and blue led lights on for 5 seconds, then the tv switches off and red led comes. Screen stays black all the time.
something wrong with the power supply voltages, when the TV is on for 5 seconds my DMM shows P. Dim runs between 0v and 3.1v, A. Dim somewhere between 1.7 and 3.1v, INV_ON and Error out rails go from 0v to 3.4v.
Can the inverter and the backlights be checked by jump wiring? I tried a jump wire (680 ohm resistor between) from the 3.5v rail to INV_ON and PWR_ON. Nothing happens. By doing this the main filter cap has only...

Re: LG 32LD550 won't turn on - HELP!
Hello
Might I borrow this thread a bit. I have a TV of the same brand and with many similarities although the model is not the exact same. The layout and the components are pretty much the same, the IC on this on is BD9240F.
TV goes on and blue led lights on for 5 seconds, then the tv switches off and red led comes. Screen stays black all the time.
I believe this has something to do with the backlights. Should the backlights light up if I put a jump wire from the 3.5V rail to the PWR_ON and INV_ON?...Last edited by manoftheyear; 08-13-2015, 01:24 PM.

Re: Philips 32 PFL 7762D PSU problem
Anyone??
Could replacing the resistor and the two MOSFETs (and probably the IC that drives them) cure this one?
Any opinions on those MOSFET substitutes?

Re: Philips 32 PFL 7762D PSU problem
Diodes D301 and D302 are OK as are the resistors, these are smd types tested them off-circuit. These are connected to the Gates? Then again resistor R1 is open. It is connected to Drain. D1 tested OK. You still think the IC (DLA001) might be bad? At least none of the pins are shorted to each other.
Can I replace these:

Philips 32 PFL 7762D PSU problem
Hello.
Got myself a bad Philips TV, gives an error code 2, service manual says it stands for "12V missing".
Two N-channel mosfets shorted, marked Q301 and Q302 on the board, these are for making the 12V and 24V, right? Should I suspect something else gone bad too, anyone?
The MOSFETS are STP10nk60zfp, what else to look for than the usual current, voltage and RDS on values when getting a substitute? How much the RDS on can differ from the original one? Would FQPF10N60C be an ok choice for replacing the originals?
Attached the...

Re: Samsung LN22A450C1DXZA Dead main board
How typical is it to see a bad MLCC on a mainboard? Have you had many cases like this before?Last edited by manoftheyear; 10-29-2012, 07:03 AM.

Re: Samsung LE32A437 power problems
budm, thanks for making things more clear, seems like I was a bit lost with the STR-A6159 IC and how it works huh?
Anyway the TV has been working today like it should, the QB802 was all over that glue popeye mentioned, I removed the glue, resoldered again that transistor and now the TV has been running without any problems. The VCC voltage of the IC is now steady at 20.1V when the TV is running while earlier it would sail somewhere between 19.7v and 21.3v. The voltage increased the longer the tv was on.
If I remember...

Re: Samsung LE32A437 power problems
The cap is changed and it's OK.
What about the two zeners DZB802 and DZB803 that are part of the feedback, could they cause this if faulty?...

Re: Samsung LE32A437 power problems
Changed the cap to 47uF Nichicon PJ. No change. The voltage on OCP pin is 7.4mV? What does this tell?

Re: Samsung LE32A437 power problems
I did not have the exact sizes in well known brand and did not want to double the capacitance value. The voltage across the CB802 is the same. It's about 19.8 when lowest, and about 21.2v when highest. It seems like with time the voltage increases.
I don't think this a cap problem though....

Samsung LE32A437 power problems
Got this TV for free. Problem is most of the time it won't turn on. Normally the red front led blinks about five times and the tv turns on, in some cases it blinks five times and then stays in standby. And sometimes the whole TV is dead with no standby led.
I noticed when the VCC voltage of controller IC STR-A6159 is below 20V the tv works, if it goes above that it has start up problems, might blink five times then hangs with the standby led being red and no response to remote or the power button. If the voltage goes to 21V and above the whole TV is dead with no standby led....Last edited by manoftheyear; 09-08-2012, 11:36 AM.
