I have read online that TV producers will just use the same power supplies for all of their TV's but they don't do the proper testing and get the approvals from the different countries because it saves money. Basically its able to be used in the EU but since they aren't going to sell it there and they wont market it there, they just don't go through the trouble of getting the stamp....

I mostly just want to watch AFN commercials because you know...they are the best
It is a smart TV and I have a VPN to get hulu and Netflix is international so I can watch shows and stuff.

Yeah, the back of the TV says 120. What you are saying here is that the components are rated for more?

Hello!
New guy here, my name is George and I am currently stationed overseas in Germany. I have a Vizio TV (M50-D1) and I saw that on the back it is only rated for 120v but I was told by a few people here that sometimes they do that to cut costs even though it is capable of dual voltage.
I tried contacting Vizio, they told me to contact vizparts, and they never replied. I contacted shopjimmy and they pointed me to you guys. Any education on how to know for future reference would be greatly appreciated!
