Would like to revive this topic.

Currently working on my Yamaha RX-V673 which also has infamous D80YK113CPTP4 DSP IC. When PCBA is bent or small portion of heat applied (e.g. hot air) to the IC, DSP is OK (viewing via Service Mode, C category, DSP1 BUS: OK/NG) and NG when cooled.

Has anyone tried replacing to a new D revision chip from aliexpress? Not quite sure whether DSP IC is bad itself or cracks in tracks/vias.

Got this Onkyo monster with a defect - it has no sound through speaker outputs as well as headphones (previously stated as fully working). Okey, thought it is a common problem of DTS IC or its firmware as the all others I have repaired before. Carefully inspected DSP IC, seems to be changed to the newest version (with a letter "D") and all FWs show OK.

Started troubleshooting with a DMM and scope.
Checked signal path and the signal is missing just after Q5501 - R2A15220FP - Input MUX IC. Checked before caps C5600 and C5601 so that Mute does...

Have 2 pcs of Marantz SR-7012 receivers with the very same problem. Both detect DC at the output and go into Protection. Seems to be a typical situation where power amp and particular power transistors are blown. But not this time.

Here we have random DC Protection. Sometimes it is able to play through ALL channels maybe for half an hour, sometimes for 10 seconds.

Going deeper - checked DCDET1 and DCDET2 protection signals from Power Amp PCBA. Here we have yellow and blue signals resp. DCDET1 and DCDET2 over the time period. Notice 2 sec/div time...

Have got this Uni-T Function Waveform Generator model UTG2025A with an issue of booting procedure. The generator tries to boot up and freezes on the booting logo "UNI-T" forever (please see photo enclosed). Please find this particular generator boot-log attached[URL="https://file.io/kZ8JjYwI9Iir"] https://file.io/kZ8JjYwI9Iir[/URL] ("UTG2025A_Generator_Boot_Log.txt") which was received via UART interface inside. It seems to be a problem with Firmware or maybe Memory (particular RAM) region.

Yes, I have tried connecting to a TV via HDMI output and it shows the menu perfectly. Also Ethernet is working and successfully connecting to home network. Also it's reading an USB, playing tracks but even with Pure Audio enabled there is no sound on this setup (USB Input).
I think someone tried to repair this board - screws are used....

Hi,

quite the same problem with my TX NR717 Receiver. I get sound via Front speakers only when Pure Audio is selected. All other modes mute the sound. Tried different sources, Tuner. Could it be bad DTS IC? Should I try to reflow it? One thing is different - that I have all speakers symbols on the display, all relays are working and all configurations can be set (via internal menu or TV menu). Successfully updated to the latest firmware but nothing changed.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
