I might do that I am useing the board in a computer that I am building for my sister to do her school work on so it needs to last and if poly will last longer then I will go that way as I am sure she will be playing games on it like world of Warcraft.

thanks I just changed out the last kzg 6.3 3300uf as there were only two of them left and powered the board on and it posted fine so I will be ordering some new caps from the list you posted. thanks for all the helpLeave a comment:

ok so I will need more tools. The caps are kzg 6.3v and 3300uf at least those were the ones the bloated the other caps are g-luxon 10v 1000uf there is also two kzg 16v 1500uf. The two I replaced I used ost 6.3v 3300uf that i had laying around left over from recaping another boardLeave a comment:

thanks I was wondering if the caps could be bad and not showing. now for another question can I check the caps with a digital multimeter or do I need some other tools. I have never checked caps before only changed out the bloated ones. any advice would be appreciatedLeave a comment:

Hi guys I recently got a biostar u8668-d motherboard from a friend. He said it was working and he left it for a little while and when he came back the computer was off when he turned it back on it would power on and not post. He just swapped out the board and gave me the old one. It had two blotted caps beside the cpu so I replaced them with the exact size as the old ones and still no post. so could I have more bad caps that aren't showing on top or bottom or could it be a fried board -

Thanks guys I will check out digikey and see what I can come up with. The reason I ask about 1000uf is because I have quite a few of them left from doing about 20 soyo book pc's but I will replace all the bad capacitors on hp with same as what is on itLeave a comment:

thanks I will change out those two and see if that helps. Should I replace them with the 820uf 6.3v or can I replace them with the same 1000uf 10v. I am also thinking of just replaceing all the capacitors. I am not shure of what brand to use or even what the original ones are all they say is kzg. The board is Asus k8s-laLeave a comment:

they were working before the bad capacitor. I checked the cables twice allready but I was looking at the board the other night and noticed there is two capacitors sitting raised up on the board but tops are still flat could these also be bad ?Leave a comment:

Hi I have a problem with the usb on my hp pavilion a1203w. The computer has a asus k8s-la motherboard. The usb stopped working so I pulled off the cover and saw a bad capacitor it was a 820uf 6.3v so I replaced it with a 1000uf 10v. So now I have two rear usb and no front. My question is do I need to replace the capacitor with the exact same as the old one or do I have more problems with this board
