Re: Mitsubishi WS-65611 dead
There's no board which your push button power button connects to? I may be mistaken but I'm pretty sure this is still considered a microswitch or a momentary contactor. Whatever you want to call it. I've had these go out on laptops and computers as well. You should be able to put your multimeter on the back solder connections (making sure it's unplugged of course) and depress the power button and make sre the circuit is completed. Like I said I'm not a tv guy but it was just a simple suggestion and I've found lots of people don't try the simple thing...

Re: Mitsubishi WS-65611 dead
I'm not a tv guy but have you tested to make sure your switch is actually good? If the tv is good I would test switch at back of board then move on to jump switch connection at tv board itself.

Re: Sanyo DP50747 50" / LG PDP50x4 T000 Panel Tv won't show video
This is the reply I got from Sanyo:
There is a panel self test for this panel. It eliminates the Main Bd. during the test. Unplug the LVDS cable from the Main to the Control Bd. behind the Main. Short the two pins in the attached jpg file. If the self test works OK, the panel will have several internally generated patterns on the screen.
D2 & D5 = off
D3 & D4 = on
for a working TV
Just wondering which is the LVDS cable is this the flat ribbon...
