• Re: Cap selection for San Ji board in Blu:Sens TDT/ DVD

Hmmm I forgot to include the physical dimensions in my product selection on RS... and once I do I get only one option.. with 760mA ripple current, for the first cap. Would that be ok? http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/products/7152296/

For the second there are a few options with the dimensions I need, with various Ripple current ratings.. http://uk.rs-online.com/web/c/passives/capacitors/aluminium/?sort-by=default&sort-order=default&applied-dimensions=4294882443,%204294672280,%204294884360,...

  • Cap selection for San Ji board in Blu:Sens TDT/ DVD

Hi folks... I was given some spot on advice about a year ago in these forums- and to my amazement, I sucessfully repaired my Samsung monitor by replacing three caps. It was my first try and I think my soldering was pretty poor... but it works!

Now I have what looks to be an easier job, but I am seeking advice about which caps to purchase (from RS-Online).

What I want to do is replace some very suspect looking caps on a little board inside my (undeniably cheap) Blu:Sens TDT/DVD unit. Without this I have no telly: which means an unhappy baby in the house!

Hi guys... I hope it's ok for a newbie to ask a question almost straight after joining. Thanks to this thread I feel confident to go ahead and replace my capacitors too. What I'm not sure about (I am new to this) is whether the replacements I have sourced (UK supplier) are ok. They seem to fit in terms of Capacitance, Voltage and Dimensions, but they do have other properties which I don't know if they are important, such as Ripple Current etc. Here's what I am looking to order. If anyone can confirm whether these should be ok I would be grateful....
