  • Re: MS-6312 Bad Caps

Thanks for the reply Tazwegion, looking at the other side of the capacitor next to the stripe, I found the capacitor info. (1500uF, 10v)! Had to pull out a magnifying glass, but it was there all along!

Also, thanks for the link to the MS-6312 thread, I'll check it out again armed with the capacitor info.

Sorry about the image, it comes in on two out of three browsers that I use, but I'll keep in mind to preview any posts in the future to make sure it works.

    Thanks again for your help!

  • MS-6312 Bad Caps

Hi, I am new to badcaps.net but I've already found it a great source of information!

I have a MS-6312 board from a Gateway 300s that is several (five?) years old that just stopped working one day. After trying a new power supply (and the board still not booting up), I happened upon badcaps.net and thought this forum might hold the answer.

I think I have two bad capacitors on the board (see red arrows in the image), which are labelled Lelon, RXA 105°C, L136(M). I'm new to everything, but I'd still like to try to replace the caps myself considering I have nothing to...
