I will check that in a few days , i have to fix some others laptop , but it could be also the nvidia gtx 960 also , wich is faulty ?

Hello , i have the same issue the a acer V17 , laptop is powering up , backlight of keyboard lit up , i can disable the backlight , using FN + F4 , also , if i plug and unplug the power adpater i heard a bip . Hard drive is spinning .
So the bios seems to work a bit .
I tried to recover the bios with the bios recovery procedure with FN + ESC ...

Hello
I'm not sure if the right section but i'm looking to find a good power supply to find some short circuit .
Like the one where green led power supply / cord of the laptop turn off you see what i'm talking about right
I need one also with no spike like if i select one volt i don't want a spike of 6 volts going to the cpu ...
Any advise i live in france .

Thanks for the reply , yes you're right i think the problem must come from the idt audio chipset wich think the hedphones is always plug on even if it is removed and dosen't enable the internal speaker .
So i think there is a problem with the enable / disable signal of the headphone ?
I need to check the datasheet to find if there is pin to signal the chip about that right ?
I tried also without the audio / usb board where is the audio headphone and with another card but same problem ....Leave a comment:

Lenovo g700 no audio on speaker ok on headphones
Hello
So i had this weird problem before putting back that lenovo g700 i checked the speakers but no sound on them .
I checked the speakers they are ok .
I checked also the plastic plug and i got continuity on the four pin of them .
I have sound on headphones but not on speakers .
I checked the datasheet :
So the idt chip is also the one wich powers directly the speakers thought
there are maybe a chip amplifier for them , but no .
So do i need to change the idt chip ? -

So may be i wasn't clear if i tried to power up the mobo with a cpu in the socket i got no voltages after the coil of the cpu v-core just 0 volts the mobo tried to start but stop after a few seconds .
But without a cpu in the socket i got 0.9 volts after the coil of the cpu v-core and the mobo don't stop .
It's why i think there a short somewhere taking the voltage of th cpu v-core .

Yes i tried it but the Cpu is fine , working on a other mobo , tried also with another cpu same case ...
My guees is some other part on the mobo wich is connected to the cpu wich become short to ground with the Cpu ...

No is not going to the bios ,
Yes no cpu on the socket , i got Cpu V-core on the coil and no short to ground .
And with cpu on the socket no Cpu V-core on the coil and i got short to ground and if
press the power buttun the laptop start a few second and stop .Leave a comment:

Hello
I've got that strange issue the laptop boot for a few second and turn off , i checked the power rail and Cpu V-core wasn't there i removed the cpu and i tried again and i got Cpu V-core rail but i'm guessing without the cpu the laptop is not going to work not happening right ?
So it could be a short cap , but i can be also something else wich is connected to the cpu but not near the cpu area ...
As there is a lot of pin and trace connecting the cpu to the rest of the mobo .
So what can be the problem and how to check it .

Does the cmos battery is there if not on some Asus Rog the turn on immediatly without it .
Did you try to clean the MXM contact made the trick some times on some Rog .
