so when i get my replaced/repaired y main from coppell, it will not have the adjustments done to it already? or these adjustments must be done when parts are installed on tv? how much would it cost, ball park,to have adjustments done.can one do it himself? i undrstand an oscilloscope would be required. thanks again.Leave a comment:

just a quick update: extracted 3 boards. the y main does match part number of y main shown on ebay(pcb code-Lj41-02759a and pba code-Lj92-01200a). all boards say samsung on it.
did resistance tests on buffer boards and lower y board showed .12. the upper y board showed .2. i guess they need to be replaced per coppell resistance readings and results. just curious though about lower buffer board; per coppell, if board was bad, tv would not turn on. my tv always turned on, just no picture. would the .12 resistance still be enough...Leave a comment:

okay, so the parts below are all compatible for this television? just heeding to warning. want to make sure i order the right part. i have yet to take part out of my tv so can't see part # on it. but just want to get an idea. the way i understand is there is more than one part # that can fit this tv?

thanks for the response. fouond it again in ebay by item number. i was going to keep same thread but thought was a bit old and no one was looking into it anymore. my bad. i'm being charged $350 by tv repair man to just replace y main. asked if that is all that is wrong with it and he said yes. i'm more partial to plain bill however that boards should be replaced as well.

i checked ebay to order the y sustain for tv. seems the ebay deal that plain bill posted is no longer being offered. i didnt get the chance to order due to cash flow restrictions. anybody know where else i can order the y sustain. thanks -

thanks for the reply. plain bill and or wizard; is it possible that y sus goes out without the upper or lower buffer going out first. asking beacuse one of the techs said he would replace upper, lower buffer and y sus. other tech said its only the y sus. reading other posts i understanding that its when buffers have gone bad then the y sus goes bad. just wondering if possible that y sus can go bad alone witout buffers being damaged. thanks again.Leave a comment:

hello to all,
this plasma tv was only 2 1/2 years. started by blacking out half the screen. it worked normally again for days and would black out half the screen again. finally one day heard cracking sound and burned smell and screen went completely black.
took it in for free diagnosis. of course they only tell you limitd information if any if you choose not to repair it. one of the shops said it was the y sus and if he was replacing the y sus he would also want to replace upper and lower buffers.
other shop said it was the sustainer pc board assembly....
