• Re: Dell 2005FPW not powering up, blinking green power switch light

Can't give you any info on the originals since they are somewhere in the landfill. It did fail before we replaced the C103 & C107 caps. Before that, after replacing the C635 & C637 caps, it was working great (no rolling). Using PlainBill's suggestions, I'll go find and order the correct ones for both boards (might as well be thorough) at digikey.

To the two questions still unanswered - 1) is it likely that these caps are the problem? and 2) does the stripe go into the board through...

A few things first before we can help.

    1) Do you have a multimeter? If yes, are you familiar with how to use it? If not, we can provide instructions. Yes

We've been having problems with this monitor for a while and actually went back to an old one when it went bad. Then I found this site, and ended up replacing the C635 & C637 caps which fixed things - as it turned out - temporarily. The original rolling problem is still gone (C635 & C637 helped that), but now it won't turn on - the "1" and power switch lights blink green, and nothing happens.

We've tried replacing C103 & C107, and still nothing (same symptoms). However, we didn't read the instructions in another post (https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=8998&highlight=dell+2005fpw+works+hours)...
