Hi there!! I have exactly the same monitor with exactly the same problem - the backlight died after ~3 years (right after the warranty expired..). Could you tell me which transistor you had to replace and what part have you used? I would appreciate your help.. I still have to open up the monitor and see what's going on but at least so i can get mentally prepared
