• Re: TCL 55S401LHAA No Power

So to update this. I did end up replacing the power supply a quite a few months back. The power supply was the issue at the time. It lasted less than a year. I now have the set back again this time with a different issue. The unit powers on and I can hear the system click through the menus but, now the backlight is not coming on at all. I thought there may have been a bad safety resistor but, after replacing that I still have no backlight on the set. I think I should just replace the thing at this point.

  • TCL 55S401LHAA No Power

This TV was Brought to me in non working condition. There are no power\standby lights on the set at all. Here is what I have done so far.

    1. Took back off of the tv and tested that the system was getting AC voltage at the plug.
    2. Tested the fuse on the power board.
    3. Tested the DC voltage at the Large Capacitor.(170Vdc)
    4. Checked for any obvious burn marks bad solder joints.
    5. Unplugged various devices from the main board.(Tcon, Wi-fi module,)

I'm not getting any response from the set at all. When I measure voltage between the Main...

  • Re: Tx-p42x50b Green/Red dots sparkles static!

I realize that this is an older thread but, I also picked up one of these TC-P50X5's recently. It originally wouldn't turn on so I replaced the U203 to fix the set. Now that I have it up and running (and mounted on the wall) I realized that the image quality wasn't great. I have tried messing with the brightness and a few other settings to no avail. There is about a 15 inch section in the middle of the panel that is darker that the top or bottom 2 inches. Also in the middles section there seem to be some blue an pink pixels scattered...

  • Re: TV Samsung LN40C630K1F Won't Turn on

I purchased that one from the part number compatibility list that ShopJimmy had on their website. I would hope that on the newer boards Samsung would have worked out the bugs. When that didn't work, I purchased another mainboard that had the same part number but, was a newer revision....

  • TV Samsung LN40C630K1F Won't Turn on

Need help with this TV. I am wondering if anyone has seen this problem before. I have the above listed TV. Will not turn on. Here is what I have tried.

Check Power supply voltages(13V is at ~ 12.8, 5v is at ~ 5.2)
Unplug main board (TV back light comes on)
Replace main board (still has the same symptoms)
Unplugged Tcon (still has the same symptoms)
I am out of ideas here. When I plug the power in the standby light flashes 6 times. Nothing will turn on the set. I tried issuing the reset command via the remote. (standby light flashes when I press the remote...
