Thank you for your reply. I have tried different memory but the problem didn't go away. I think I am just going to replace the motherboard.

HP Caps/Num Lock Blinking 3 Times
Has anyone had any experience with a HP Laptop that:
Powers on
Blank Screen (same on the external)
Caps/Num Lock blink 3 Times / stop for few seconds and repeat.
After a little while the fans speed up.
I have tried hard reset, changing the memory and removing all the detachable components.

HP MS21 All In One PC
Hi,
I am trying to fix the motherboard on the HP MS21 All In One PC.
The charger light is showing on the motherboard.
When the power switch is pressed - a blue light flashes for a millisecond and goes off. This will not repeat unless you remove the charger and drain the circuit.
On checking the board I found the PQ39 in a melted state. So, I replaced it with a AO4466 (I didn't have the AO4468)...
No power is showing on the power switch.
On the PU7 - pin 6 has 19v and pin 4 has 3v
I am now stuck on... -

Nice to see a fellow Mancunian.
It's not the chip that needs replacing but the capacitor on the left hand side. You will notice it's missing - it's look likes it's blown.

Hi,
I am after some advice on the repair of a HP Envy 15-AE..
Charger Power Light is on.
19V - On The board
3.2V - On The Battery output.
Please Note I am in the early stages of learning how to repair motherboards.
I have found a visually blown what I believe to be a smd capacitor. I would like to replace it but I am not sure how to find out what I need to replace it with as I don't have the motherboard schematics.
Can anyone help?
