I found the bios on some paying website but impossible to find a bios provided by MSI, it seems that this model has never had a bios update, it's quite surprising.
I will need a bios for this computer because it boots but no display. Some times it starts (without display) and the light on the power button is orange, and other times it starts (without display) and the light is blinking red.
Re: WinKeyFinder : Search for Windows key in bios dump
Programs written in AutoIt are unfortunately often recognized as trojan/malware... I think that Antivirus programs identify false positives because they make a correspondence with real trojans that also use the native AutoIt libraries.
I can assure you that the executable I provided is compiled from the source code I provided.
WinKeyFinder : Search for Windows key in bios dump
Description:
WinKeyFinder is a program that I developed to search the Windows key in a bios dump file. This manipulation is easily done with a hexadecimal editor but I have added some features to the program that can help save time.
Program features:
- Graphical interface : allows you to choose if you want to scan one or more files or if you want to scan all the files in a directory. The result is displayed in a window and the found keys are automatically inserted in the clipboard.
While changing the charging connector on a Nintendo Switch, a component flew out because of the hot air coming from the hot air station... I would like to know if any of you know the reference of this component?
I attach a picture with the location of the component. Thanks for your help!...
With an other HP DMI TOOL, I have this message : "MPM is LOCKED on this commercial unit. In order to proceed you will need to ordier a new SMC.bin file."
I had an HP Probook 640 G2 computer that was no longer working (the physical chip bios had failed), so I could not read its contents.
So I retrieved the bios data from an identical model, cleaned the ME region, then programmed a new chip and put it back in my computer where the bios was broken.
The problem is that the information on the bios is that of the computer where I took the information (SN,FeatureByte,BuildId,....). I tried to use HP's DMITool (which I usually use for consumer computers) but I could not write the data to the bios. ...
I've done some more research, I'll put it here in case it's useful to someone else:
There are DS3000 boxes made by the company allbalancetech which allow to read EMMC162+186/EMMC221/EMMC153+169/BGA526/BGA280/BGA100
Each unit is sold for about 100$.
These devices can only read data that is not encrypted, which is not a lot of smartphones since Iphones are encrypted since Iphone 5 and Android smartphones are mostly encrypted since Android 5 (2014).
So indeed the simplest and surest way to succeed...
It's not for a specific smartphone, it's a general question.
I've seen that on Iphone you need to get the CPU, EEPROM and NAND and then solder it to another motherboard. The data must really be very important...
For Android smartphones, there seems to be devices that allow to read the memory once unsoldered but I don't know how it works. (Mobile Memory Chip-Off Data Recovery Reader)
But it seems that recent Android smartphones are all hardware encrypted.
Do you know ways to recover data (photos, videos, ...) from a smartphone that no longer works?
For example if the motherboard is defective and it is impossible to repair it, is there a way to unsolder the memory containing the data and to be able to read it through an interface or other?
The bios of this computer is corrupted, I tried the bios provided by techman1025 on this post https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=62848
And the computer works.
But I would have liked to repair my bios to keep the same serial number.
