Re: Fortron FSP-ATX-400PNF
It seems that the solution will be really to try with whatever I got, and thenif it works change the whole set. It should still be cheaper than buying a brand new PSU, and if I but in brand caps it should stay function for years.

Re: Fortron FSP-ATX-400PNF
I'm thinking if I can fix the problem, I might buy some caps, and redo the whole power supply, but first I want to fix the visible problem to see if it works at all or some other parts got blown too as a consequence.

Re: Fortron FSP-ATX-400PNF
Returning to the repair part: found 2 United branded 1000uF 10V capacitors which should be the exact same size I need. Are they considered good?

Re: Fortron FSP-ATX-400PNF
I have 2 of these PSU laying around with bad caps. One of the 2 CAPs in the middle (Teapo 1000uF 10V) are dead on both.
I wonder if it originates from the capacitor quality or maybe the motherboard what it worked with killed it.. (I found these)
I would change them, but I have only 1 such capacitor in my inventory but that has greated diameter, or I have some (a lot) nichicon 1000uF 6.3V caps.. oh and a Jee 1000uF 16V.
Jee is low quality as I read, but maybe it is oversized enough not to die?
Also would it be...
