Re: Sharp LC-90LE657U Tcon Board Vs panel failure
Thanks for the reply.
To be a little more specific, I've removed the ribbon cables from the control board to the panel, and forced the TV on using the channel and volume buttons while plugging it in.
Regardless of the state of the ribbon cables, (both plugged in, one plugged in, or none plugged in), when forcing the set on the back lights flash on momentarily, then turn off.
This seems different then what most failures I've read about as the back lights do not stay on.

Sharp LC-90LE657U Tcon Board Vs panel failure
Hello,
I'm new to the forum. This place seems like an amazing resource for all kinds of knowledge.
I have a Sharp LC-90LE657U that started getting the no picture, 2-5 blink code. After reading through a bunch of threads, I have a question:
If I remove the ribbon cables from the Tcon board, either one at a time or both (there are 2), I get no status change on the TV, and I still get the 2-5 code.
Does that imply that I have some hope of the panels still being good? I haven't checked any power voltages yet. I'm inclined to just replace...
