Re: Macbook Air 820-3437B missing PP3V3_S5
PP3V3S5_EN_R is high = 3,425V
Resistance between Pin16 and Pin2 from L7560 = 19,57k
R7563 10 ohm must be 10 ohm
R7561 9,25K must be 10K
R7560 18,11K must be 23,2K
Pin2 L7576 in ohm to ground = 3K
All those measures are taking with L7560 on the board

4-terminal current sense resistors
Can you replace a 4-terminal current sense resistor by a 2-terminal current sense resistor without lose of functionality ?

Re: problem with an ipad4
i bought on e-bay a defect ipad (no backlight) and i see the apple logo on / off but not possible to put in recovery mode by i-tunes error 4005
The PCB looks fine , and i think i made a short by measuring , because before PPVV_main was stable on 3,75 V

A1286 2,2ghz late 2011 fans spin on / off for 1s
Hi,
There's a short circuit on PPVCORE_S0.
See attached in red, which components I have removed and I still have a short circuit on PPVCORE_S0.
So the short is in the line from R8940 (see appendix 2).
or in the GPU chip or in one of the capacitors (see appendix 3).
The question now is how can I find the capacitor that could be broken ? A separate power supply of 0.9V on PPVCORE_S0 with an adjustable current ? Is this a good idea ? and then measure the temperature of each capacitor ? Does anyone have experience with this ? What equipment do you use for...
