Ok did some searching and read a couple threads about tab drivers and disconnecting t-con board ribbon cables. I will give it a shot see what happens.

Sharp LC-60SQ15U Flickering Screen
Hello I have Sharp 60" with a flickering / pixelated screen. There are dark horizontal lines across the whole screen that slowly roll upwards. Is this a board problem or screen problem ? Is this a common problem with Sharp tv's ? I have reseated all the cables on the boards and all the screws are tight on the boards.... -

ok great thankyou. I have a 0 ohm reading across the 2 pins on plug sc2. That is a short correct ? Which parts usually go bad in that case ? I can solder things like the transistors but the tiny diodes or ic chips I would probably screw up.Leave a comment:

ok when done that way I get 4 to 5 beeps along the ribbon connector. I was told that measuring across the SC2 connector which is the power connector for that board I should not get a beep or there is a dead short somewhere on that board. which I did get a beep. I removed Q401 and Q402 from the board and the short went away. I think those are transistors. Could these be my only problem on this board ? I've never heard the ribbon check tho.Leave a comment:
