There's a similar ceramic heat sink on the TV I am trying to salvage (42pfl6008k/12). The ceramic radiator doesn't have the two pins to keep it pressed to the CPU as visible on the photo above.
I was able to detach it (unlike the top post says that it cannot be removed) by rotating it left / right without putting too much force. It gives in slowly and patience is required. Seems to be a sort of thermal adhesive tape, but it was badly positioned, only touching half of the CPU ...

Just trying to understand what are my best steps to fix a TV. Background in IT and micro-controllers, not so much into mains voltage.
