There is a second 2mb flash with the ME_fw but this firmware should not inhibit any and all response from the EC.Leave a comment:

Thanks to toshibas fabulous bios update software i now have a bricked Toshiba L50-A-158, and I just repaired the PoS. After the atempted bios update to 1.9v the laptop is absolutely dead....When I try to open the bios image that i dumped from the laptop in UEFItool it says "invalid data cheksum". If someone knows how to repair the bios image, I would be very thankful. Or if someone has a link to a website that has a guide on how to do it, that would work too. The bios is EC+Bios combination. Thx...

Asus N550JK bios dump needed
I have and Asus N550JK laptop with suspect bad bios. I have to reprogram the bios chip directly. Ther is just one chip. Can somebody provide a bios dump for this laptop. I can not find any on the internet i I dont know how to make one from the bios provided by Asus. Thx. -

It is still not working and same behavior . It seems that the bios is not to blame. A hardware problem...7 beeps, but processor tested good. Just dont know if it is the PCH or the graphics chip...

The motherboard is a LA-8241P , Rev:1.0(A00) with the 216-0834065 graphics chip

Hi, im working on a broken Dell 15r 7520 laptop and I am in a need for a pch and ec bios dump. The bios recovery system is not functional. The PCH bios consists of two bios chips (2 mb and 4mb). The bios from a 15R 5520 is the same but only if the laptop is equipped with the Ati graphics chip 216-0834065 ( radeon 7730M). If anybody can dump these from a working laptop, I would be very grateful. Thx -
