I have exactly the same problem, but I do have a remote. The TV powers on and the backlight lights up, the power LED flashes a few times, then the Sanyo logo appears, then the following message appears for less than a second then the TV powers off:

(Channel 1 is displayed on the top right corner)

No channel is registered.
Press and hold "OK" key on the remote control for 3 seconds.

(message is also displayed below in Spanish and French)

The screen is evenly lit and there...

Quick question...

Is it possible to remove the driver tabs on BOTH sides of a Sharp LED (LC-60LE650U) without trashing the display?

Hello everyone! My name is David. I work in Energy Management and have owned a small technology business for several years. I occasionally perform minor repairs to consumer electronics.

I was drawn to this forum by the discussions about 'saving' some LED displays by removing the driver tabs!
