  • Re: LG 42PC3D-UE horrible picture w/ good sound

Ahhh....you are correct! I had the TV's switched, the LG was in the bedroom hooked up to the blueray player that was switched to 1080i, and the Hitachi was in the livingroom hooked up to everything set at 1080p.
Guess I get my Hitachi back after all!!

I am the greatest TV repair guy ever!!!! One new (refurbed) Zsus board and the old LG is workin great!!

Ok....so I dont have a clue what I actually did, but the new board seems to have fixed the picture issues I had. Installation was very simple, just be gentle unplugging the connectors and make sure everything was seated completely and I guess I did something right cause its working again. Honestly, I think these things are held together by magic and you guys are just freaking wizards and cast...

Thanks for the quick answer! However...I think disassembling the Zsus board is going to be a little out of my skill range. I'm not the greatest with a soldering iron (will burn house down)

Mine is a October of 2006 42 plasma LG, by reading here it looks like the Zsus board has malfunctioned. I verified there is an open fuse on the Zsus board, all the rest of the fuses ohmed ok.
question1: Is there a specific orientation to how the fuses are put in the holders? My automotive history tells me no, I was very specific when I removed each of them, I know there are 4 that are the same and 1 thats different, I made a note on which one goes where. I didnt however look to see if there was a specific way they were put in. Kinda like a +/- maybe??
    question2: Where can I find...
