Heya Alex here!
I currently work with integrated electronics, but was formally trained in statistical and condensed matter physics in Germany.
Even though my research focuses on IC development (at the wafer level), one needs to connect to it somehow - I find great interest in PCB design and the mechanical/thermal side (enclosure design etc.). Additionally, I enjoy fixing broken computers/instruments (my own initially; a happy accident indeed!)....
