Update:
I spoke with ShopJimmy, and they told me that (surprise, surprise) I'd mistakenly ordered by model number, rather than part number. So, I ordered the right part (and will return the other soon), and installed it when it came in the mail.
It lives!
While I kind of wish I'd gotten the repair kit and fixed the old board, I'm more than satisfied that the replacement board fixed the TV.

Ah. That sheds some light on things. I hope I don't have to replace the Master board, too, but that's a more desirable outcome than having to give up on the TV entirely....Leave a comment:

Sorry about the photos - I'll try again when I get home and can put the boards under better light. I'll also get pictures of the undersides.
The replacement board came from shopjimmy, and the website claims that it's the compatible replacement board. Looks like the website's picture, too....Leave a comment:

As I look at the pictures, I notice that not only are the layouts of the two slave boards different, but the fuses are different too - the original was 10A @ 125V, but the new one seems to be 8A @ 60V. Is this normal?Leave a comment:

So, perhaps I'm missing something - when you guys tested your transformers, was the 16 Ohms what you got from the bad boards, or what you should have gotten from a good board?
I ask because I've got the same TV and am experiencing the same problems (LCD has image, but backlight won't come on).
