Re: GA-7DPXDW-P Rev 1.0 fails to post
I have this board at my workplace running as an fileserver.
Replace the Choyo 330uF 25V Caps as well because those fail alot without visible signs of malfunction. (I used 470uF 16V)
TK is an japanese partner of Ost and is good quality. (Listed green on capacitorlab.com)

Re: Bad Caps Or Stability Problem
In what way is the system unstable?
I remember i had one Aopen board with freezing keyboard / mouse PS2 and USB ports esp when plugging in. Sounds and content on websites like gif images where still active, replaced the small caps for the ports and the system was back to normal operation.
Aopen used multiple brands of caps, The boards with KZE's and Panny's rarely have problems with the caps because those are good brands.
Other boards were populated with good Rubycon YXG caps and 3 crappy Lelon input caps ruined the...

Re: Bad Caps Or Stability Problem
I have recapped lots of Aopen boards. (AK73 and AK77 boards)
The crappy Lelon caps sometimes go bad and blow up from the underside with their vents still flat or bulged a little....

Re: Sapphire Pure Innovation PI-A9RX480
I have this motherboard as well but it's somewhat unstable, givin me BSOD's all the time.
Also those panasonic T vents on Teapo SC caps. Replaced the Teapo and Licon craps did'nt solve the problems so it's now laying somewhere. waiting for maybe another solution.

Re: Bad Capacitors Heat Up?
Those look like dry solder joints (or there's just to much solder on them) which don't make an good connection to the PCB. I would add new solder to those pads....

Re: Help identifying these caps?
Maybe the caps on the first post are "APAQ" / "APAK" Capacitors.
Look at this page: http://www.apaq.com.tw/products/ap_conarea01_en.htmRe: Help identifying these caps?<br ...1_en.htm

Re: Brand new, never used with bad caps.
I believe this is an PC-Partner built motherboard, I have an Sapphire Pure innovation motherboard which almost looks identical to this one. It has Teapo + OS-CON (CPU VRM), licon (small caps scattered around) and nichicon caps, And it BSOD's everyday around 2~3 times.

Re: anyone know these caps?
Looks like SACON (correct if wrong), but these caps have JL as type number and my known sacons have FZ as type number.

Re: Please help with MSI-7184 issues
I mean the onboard GPU part probably embedded in the northbridge itself could be physically damaged due to overheating/voltage spikes due to the badcap. (Teapo often fail without a bulge so a bulging Teapo cap is really big crap). I had a similar failure on a nForce 430/6100 system. Mainboard worked fine with an VGA card....

Re: Please help with MSI-7184 issues
There is also a possibility that the VGA GPU/RAM became Corrupted/Damaged, This often creates strange (most times) Purple/Pink white blocks on your screen.
Beside a bulged cap needs to be replaced anyway.

Re: panasonic fj counterfeits?

Re: Aopen AK77 working but...
I recapped quite a few of these boards. I use 4X samxon 3300uF 6V3 for the blown Lelon 3300uF 10V caps and 2X Samxon 1500uF 6V3 or 10V caps for the blown Lelon 1200uF caps. The KZE's should be fine and are from a reputable brand "Chemi-Con"
These boards seems to be working for a long time with very ugly bloated caps, I had a customer saying that his PC needs to be reset a few times to get it working. The caps where almost completly blown off from the bottom with dried electrolyte stuff tearing over the mossfets.Last edited by Phenos; 11-13-2007, 09:26 PM.

Re: Jetway V266B still good??
This is how i did it.
The 16V caps can be exchanged by 6.3V though.

Re: The Hall of Shame - Badcaps Photo Montage
2 Vented Rubycon MFZ 2700uF 6,3V and one starting to vent.
These were on an Xbox 360 Systemboard. It had one lifted yellow 820uF 4V Fujitsu Polymer as well. I replaced them all (13Pieces) with Samxon GA 3300uF caps and the polymers with Chemicon PS 820uF's however the Xbox still says the 0200 error code. Maybe the CPU/GPU is cooked by the excessive heat.

Re: Bad Rubycons...
i've heared they use snake patterns to give the traces equal length with the other traces because the memory is paralel. It has something to do with latency sync i think. same as above post.

Re: The Hall of Shame - Badcaps Photo Montage
1. Koshin 2200uF 16V cap do they allways use the ELNA Vent?
2. GINCON 470uF 200V
3. Skywell SEL, UNI-CON 330uF 16V, Looks like polymer caps, it's on a VGA card bundled with Sanyo OS-CONS....
