The water block is actually the component the sits on top of the processor. The top end is made of plastic.

Mac G5 2.5 ghz waterblocks
I'm looking for a waterblock for my Powermac G5 cooling unit. Seems I was a little too beastly and broke one of the hose connections. Can anyone help?

Re: Powermac G5 cooling block refilling
If you use a wrench to hold what looks like a hex nut steady and a pliers or vise grip on the farthest out end the valve will screw out. by the way, do you have an extra water block laying around? I was being too effecient and ended up breaking one of the hose connections.
