this one is 260/200 watts. The first of its problems is that the lights do not come on. One light is supposed to come on at 200 watts, then the other come on at 260. It used to function like that, but now neither light comes on at all - though the gun gets hot.
But here's a wrinkle: while I have had the gun open before, I cannot now get the case open anymore. The 3 screws come out, but I cannot unsnap the case to open it. It won't separate at the area where the two aluminum tubes emerge fron the gun. Is it possible that, with the long use in desoldering caps, that something melted...

[P.S. After posting this, I see that quoting isn't working. Also, I just had a devil of a time during every attempt at posting: I'd be asked to login, although I was already logged in. But it would reject my password. Then, the problem suddenly cleared up.]...

The bulging caps (5 out of 16 at this point) are all Chhsi:
(3) 1000uF 6.3v
(2) 1500uF 10v
there are a line of 4 JackCon caps near the PSU (next to the CPU) which haven't bulged at all yet.
I had planned to replace the 5 bulged ones, then see if the computer started. If it did, I would have replaced the remaing ones. However, being in a small town, and only being an amateur trying to fix this one board, my biggest problem is in finding...
